Everything you need to know about XP, levels and perks.
What is leveling?
Every time you take part in the server you earn XP. Earn enough XP and you level up — and certain levels unlock new roles and perks for you.
How do I earn XP?
Send messages in public chat channels. You get 15–25 XP for a message, at most once a minute — so taking part in real conversations is what counts.
Can I earn XP faster?
Yes. Silver, Gold and Monthly Supporters (Supporter, Supporter+ and Super Supporter) get a 12% XP boost, members wearing the JCS server tag get 11%, and Nitro Boosters get 8%. See all XP boosts
How do I check my level?
Type /rank in the bot commands channel to see your rank card, or /levels to see the server leaderboard.
How much XP do I need for each level?
Each level takes 100 XP more than the one before it. In total, Level 5 takes 1,375 XP, Level 15 takes 11,625, Level 25 takes 31,875, Level 50 takes 126,250, Level 75 takes 283,125 and Level 100 takes 502,500.
What is the Level 100 named role?
At Level 100 you get a role made just for you, named after you. You pick its colour and icon from a set of presets.
Does spamming get me more XP?
No. XP is only given once a minute, and spamming breaks the server rules — staff can reset the XP of anyone caught farming it.
Do I earn XP in voice chat?
Yes — time spent talking in voice channels earns XP too. Sitting muted or alone in a channel doesn’t count.
When do I get my perks?
Right away. Your new role is given automatically the moment you reach the level, and you’ll get a level-up message in chat.
What happens to my level if I leave the server?
Your XP is saved. If you come back, you’ll pick up right where you left off.
